Business Overview

Inland Civil and Rail is an experienced, professional and reliable wet and dry equipment hire company assisting clients operating in rail, local and state government infrastructure, plus the mining and land development sectors. From our central location in Dubbo, we serve clients across regional NSW with no-fuss access to equipment and labour. Our clients include organisations such as John Holland and ARTC.

We are a privately owned family business established in 2019, under the guidance of our owner/manager, Matt Martin, who brings comprehensive onsite knowledge and experience in the industry. Since we started, our rapid growth has been based on our ease of use, developing close, long-term relationships with our clients, providing skilled, experienced people and the quality, modern, reliable equipment we supply, which is always ready to go.

We offer expertise, flexibility and dependability. Together with the broad range of equipment, our specialist operators work closely with our clients to ensure we can readily and easily assist with all your project requirements.

Safety is very important to us. All team members are fully ticketed, qualified and experienced specialist operators who are competent and adept at working on regulated sites such as the rail corridor and civil construction sites. VOC is available on request.

About Matt Martin

Matt has extensive experience as a machinery operator. Growing up on a farm, he ventured off to work as an operator on large expansions and construction projects in Queensland for over 10 years. His vast industry experienced includes assisting in setting up Kennards Rail as a new division of Kennards, liaising directly with manufacturers of new rail equipment, trained rail operators in new machinery, excelling at customer service in the field. He also helped create WorkPac Labour Hire office in Dubbo. and worked with EMS Group, as labour hire and civil and rail equipment Manager.

Matt is known as a proactive problem-solver, a great communicator and is easy to work with. He has strong industry connections and a network which helps him secure almost every requirement for your project – call him first and ask who he can connect you with. He's always happy to assist, especially when in makes life easier for his valued clients. Matt specialises in solving problems without creating them and loves to see jobs completed to a high standard.

He is a Cert IV Trainer/Assessor and has all the required rail industry and track operational tickets to ensure safety and efficiency on every project.

WHS compliance, policy & procedures

Inland Rail and Civil is fully compliant with all AVETTA policies and procedures, in readiness to run or complete any task required within our scope of services. The happily comply with AVETTA's strict regulations, as ensuring the safety of our team, our clients and members of the public is paramount to us.

Our team receives complete safety training and our full WHS manual and booklet are available as a reference for team members at any time. In addition, staff members are fully ticketed and undergo site specific training and induction on each project. Every operator working within the rail corridor is fully trained and qualified, and carries a Rail Industry Worker Card, complete with QR code referencing their competencies and training, as per regulations.
